About the Role
The Orange Ex-Services’ Club Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Manager. The club is seeking a sales-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills to oversee our busy Events Department.
Requirements
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and supported by an Events Coordinator you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the club’s Events Department across multiple venues and be a key member of the Management Team during this exciting time of development and growth.
Essential:
Experience in event sales and planning
Excellent communication skills and personal presentation
Flexible availability to work
Meticulous planner with strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
Proven ability to lead and performance manage staff.
Extensive experience using the MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with event booking software such as Ivvy an advantage.
Recognized qualifications in Events/Hospitality will be highly regarded.
Your key responsibilities will include –
Event sales, enquiries, and bookings for all OESC venues including our newly built golf club “The Wentworth.”
Using sales and negotiation skills to contract new business.
Develop client relationships and drive repeat patronage.
Conducting venue site inspections and facility tours for prospective clients
Coordinate the efforts of staff and event supplies.
All aspects of event management from event enquiry stage to post event follow up.
Source appropriate entertainment for the club’s auditorium including ticketed events, live shows, bands, and ratify Entertainment Contracts from a cost/benefit perspective.
Participation in strategic business development and marketing activities.
Critical to your success in this position will be your passion for sales, strong communications skills across all mediums and your ability to develop and foster positive client relations.
This position is remunerated in accordance with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020, Level A Club Manager.
